Ellens Court is a registered service providing accommodation and personal support for 9 people with learning disability, age range 18 plus.
Ellens Court is situated in the rural beautiful countryside 1.5 miles from Doddington Village. Two main towns are within driving distance from Ellens Court ( Sittingbourne and Faversham). The main towns have access to public transport to allow people living at Ellens Court to explore new horizons and maintain contact with family and friends.
Ellens Court is set in 3 acres of land with gardens surrounds the building allowing easy access to the garden and outbuildings used by the people living at Ellens Court.
Ellens Court philosophy is created following person centred approach, offering opportunities for people to develop their individual life style in the home and community. Opportunities are created by individual choices, care plans and risk assessments completed. Care planning involving the people living at Ellens Court allows the individual person to have a greater say in how they would like to for fill their lives with the appropriate support from staff team and family members.
Having a greater say in how people want to live their lives, promotes confidence, independence and self achievement. Opportunities undertaken through choice at Ellens Court in the home environment cooking, cleaning, laundry, gardening, games in the garden, budgeting.
Access to the community to attend educational courses, leisure centers, riding stables, golf, swimming, library, cinema, theatre, and promoting hobbies and personal interests. Workplace experience is undertaken to work with animals, cafes, and garden centers.
Direct access to medical facilities through a GP is chosen by the individual person. Hospitals in surrounding areas. Dentists and opticians and chiropodists direct visits Ellens Court or facilitate the service in the local town.
People living at Ellens Court are supported by a highly motivated team with experience and knowledge in the care sector. All team members have recognized qualification diploma levels 2 -5. Training is maintained for all team members to ensure a high-quality service.
The staff team promotes opportunities, to fully involve the people living at Ellens Court to have a greater say in their lives. Contact with family is an important part of people’s lives.
Ellens Court operates a keyworker system, individual people have designated staff members and shadow workers to support and maintain high-quality life.
The staff team is led by an experienced Registered Manager who is motivated and dynamic in promoting independence and self-motivation for people receiving support in their home and community environment.
Young People Care Services
Inspire Care Outreach Limited specializes in services for young people and refugees 16 to 21 years of age. Our principal activity is to provide outreach support and accommodation for young people with a broad spectrum of support needs.
