How we process applicant and candidate personal data during recruitment, assessment, and onboarding.

1. Who this notice covers
This Recruitment Privacy Notice explains how Inspire Care Group processes personal data when you apply for a role, submit a CV, attend an interview, or otherwise take part in our recruitment process. It should be read alongside our general Privacy Notice.
2. What data we collect
We may collect:
- Identity and contact details
- Application form answers, CV/covering letter content, and work history
- Interview notes and assessment outcomes
- Right-to-work, DBS, and reference information where required for the role
- Equal opportunities monitoring data, if collected separately and used only for that purpose
- Communication records relating to your application
3. Why we process applicant data
We process recruitment data to:
- Assess suitability for roles and manage the application process (steps prior to a contract / legitimate interests)
- Arrange interviews and communicate with you (legitimate interests / contract steps)
- Carry out pre-employment checks required by law or Care Quality Commission expectations (legal obligation / legitimate interests)
- Defend legal claims and keep appropriate employment records (legitimate interests / legal obligation)
4. Who we share data with
Application data is shared with hiring managers and HR colleagues who need it. We may also share data with referees you nominate, DBS check providers, occupational health providers, and IT processors hosting our systems. We do not sell applicant data.
5. Retention of applications
Unsuccessful applications and CVs are normally retained for approximately 365 days, unless a longer period is needed for legal claims or you agree to remain in a talent pool. Where a candidate is hired, employment records are retained for a longer period (typically around 2555 days) in line with employment and care-sector record-keeping needs. 6. Your rights
